Contemporary Dance

We offer Contemporary dance classes for children aged from 6 upwards.

We follow the Rambert Contemporary Grades Syllabus which you can view here:

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Contemporary dance techniques typically reflect the body’s natural alignment, so the style is accessible for dancers of any level. Classes often focus on topics such as narration, self-expression and creative freedom. Contemporary dance can help to increase body awareness, improved balance, flexibility, and core strength.

Classes & Timetable

4pm – 4:45pm Junior Contemporary 1 6 – 8 years
4:45pm – 5:15pm Junior Contemporary 2 8 – 10 years
5.30pm – 7.00pm Senior Contemporary 11 years+
